Position Summary
Our growing portfolio of research imaging and high content screening products requires adding an experienced Biological Scientist. We are looking for someone knowledgeable in our customer?s applications, processes, and workflows for image acquisition and analysis software. The successful candidate must be a passionate internal advocate for customers, self-reliant, well organized, and an excellent written and verbal communicator. Understand the needs of customers in imaging and high content screening markets
Translate project requirements and customer needs into written software stories
Work with senior marketing and software teams to identify gaps in software product offerings
Create a shared vision of customer acceptance so project teams understand ?done?
Test acceptance criteria of implemented stories and record results into electronic tracking system
Prepare software verification reports
Resolve questions and provide guidance to software engineering teams on features
Create content and conduct occasional training to commercial teams
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices
Seek and incorporate feedbackwhen authoring work products.
Attend regular and periodic software engineering team meetings and progress reviews
Attend customer / site visits and some offsite meetings (up to 10% travel)
PhD in Biology, or equivalent
5 years of experience in a scientific imaging laboratory or company
Experience working successfully in a team environment
Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and help the team succeed
Results oriented ? has track record for delivering results, takes ownership and is accountable

Additional Considerations:
Familiarity with existing Molecular Devices imaging products
Experience and skill diagnosing issues with complex integrated software and hardware platforms
Experience working professionally with software engineering teams
Familiarity with software engineering methodologies

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
