House Supervisor

Job Description

DESCRIPTION: Immediate FT position available. Supporting people with intellectual disabilities in home and community based rehabilitation including community integration, exercise, medical appointments, learning activities of daily living, meal planning and preparation, home maintenance skills, transportation, social skills, etc.


Responsible for day-to-day running of the household, budget management, medical services and medication management, individual services-coordinating, supervising, evaluating and monitoring.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must meet at least the minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years work experience working directly with people with intellectual disabilities. Associates Degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 years work experience working directly with people with intellectual disabilities.


Valid driver’s license, registered insured vehicle, and good driving record required. Pre-employment criminal background check, Childline and physical and drug screen.


LOCATION: Please be sure before you apply that you are willing to travel to Thorndale Area daily.


HOURS: This position requires the House Supervisor to work a variety of shifts and hours and some weekend days. It is not a Monday-Friday 9-5 job.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
