Summary of Position:
The Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) Coordinator is pivotal in designing and leading strategic educational initiatives from Pre-K through higher education to support professional advancement and beyond through partnerships that strengthen learner experiences. This leader crafts and implements innovative programs to enrich educator development and K-12 career readiness.
In this multifaceted position, the coordinator leads the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive programs within the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS). These programs range from higher education workshops to professional certifications and continuing professional education courses, each designed to cater to the broad spectrum of educators' needs. This leader not only focuses on the educational continuum but also ensures the success of these initiatives through effective project management, instructional delivery, and program evaluation.
The role extends to cultivating dynamic, revenue-generating partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, including higher education institutions, industry leaders, and community organizations, to bolster career readiness and educational progress. Through these partnerships, the Coordinator facilitates innovative educational technology integration and real-world learning experiences.
The ideal candidate for this role exhibits a blend of educational expertise, operational leadership, and an entrepreneurial spirit, adept at networking and forming strategic partnerships to expand educational opportunities. Operationally, the Coordinator optimizes processes to ensure programmatic excellence and efficiency, overseeing the management of learning systems, online registration, and the implementation of quality assurance processes to uphold the highest standards of instructional delivery. This includes leveraging data-driven analytics for continuous improvement and guiding social media marketing strategies to enhance engagement and enrollment. Qualifications:
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's degree preferred
Education in online learning, educational technology, learning theory, or instructional design required
Experience planning, organizing, managing and implementing professional learning projects, activities, events, and program administration required
Formal job responsibilities of adult training and professional development or higher education required, conducted synchronously and asynchronously in an online environment preferred
Formal program leadership experience directing and guiding teams required; supervisory experience preferred
Experience in adult training/staff development required
Experience using, deploying, and evaluating the implementation of databases and learning management systems for competency-based learning preferred
Professional or Other Required Certifications
Pennsylvania Level II Teaching Certification preferred
Pennsylvania Principal Certification, Higher-Education Management Certification or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities:
Enhance educator pipeline support initiatives and lead the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive educational programs within the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS). This includes overseeing the creation of innovative, revenue-generating programs that cater to educators across the Pre-K-20 spectrum, from higher education workshops and professional certifications to continuing professional education (CPE) courses, Act 45 courses, and micro-credentials.
Lead the project management activities with multiple cohorts, ensuring timely and successful execution of program elements including instructional delivery, registration, hiring of instructors and facilitators, and program evaluation to guarantee efficient operations and effective learning outcomes.
Drive the highest-quality, relevant online instructional design and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of educational materials.
Cultivate and maintain dynamic and revenue-generating partnerships with higher education institutions, industry leaders, school districts, and community organizations to enhance career readiness and educational advancements. Focus on innovative collaborations that support educational technology integration, as well as student engagement through apprenticeships, internships, and service-learning opportunities, guided by key educational standards and frameworks.
Cultivate instructional and curricular vendor partnerships, supporting the management, acquisition, and implementation of vendor partnerships, with a focus on educational technology based on needs, trends, and innovations in K-12
Support student programming, including Act 158 Coordination of Apprenticeships, Internships, and service-learning opportunities for high school students across the county through knowledge of PA Core Standards, PSSAs, Keystone Exams, Educator Effectiveness, Act 158, the SAS Framework, etc.
Foster expansive networks and cultivate vibrant alumni communities to enhance professional connections, support job placement opportunities, and create a robust exchange of ideas and resources among education professionals.
Streamline operational processes to achieve programmatic excellence and operational efficiency across all initiatives. This includes managing learning management systems, online registration systems, administering learning management systems, and supervising the Virtual Teacher Center's resources and technologies.
Ensure effective resource allocation and utilize data-driven analytics for continuous improvement of educational offerings.
Collaboratively support resource allocation, including accurate financial records and personnel, to ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximize the impact and sustainability of educational initiatives within the fiscal parameters set by the division and organization.
Conduct comprehensive program evaluations, utilizing data-driven analytics to assess the efficacy and impact of educational offerings, and inform continuous improvement strategies for curriculum development and instructional design.
Guide implementation of social media marketing strategies to increase engagement and enrollment.
Champion an entrepreneurial culture of innovation and collaboration, leading by example to engage cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and partners in achieving shared educational goals.
Foster professional growth and a commitment to excellence within a team atmosphere, providing outstanding customer service to educators and stakeholders, and leveraging social media strategies to enhance engagement and enrollment.
Salary:
Project staff, Band 15, Exempt
If start date before 6/30:
$70,339 - $87,924 annually, based upon experience
if start date 7/1 and later:
$72,801 - $91,002 annually, based upon experience
