Summary:
Provides administrative support, as the Principal's liaison, to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the entire school in delivering instructional, athletic, and recreational services to the student body and to the public.
Qualifications:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
High school diploma with demonstrated administrative assistant experience in word processing, bookkeeping, and record keeping systems required.
Completion of course work in accounting preferred Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to diplomatically interface with students, parents, coaches, officials, teachers, administrative staff, and external contacts required Proficiency in the use of the personal computer, calculator, and other office equipment, plus organizational and communication skills required Proficiency in the use of technology for individual and system management, communication, and research Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment Duties &
Responsibilities:
(Abbreviated - Please review the attached Job Description for more details on this specific opportunity) Answers incoming calls and screens calls when necessary; records accurate telephone messages Sets up appointments and meetings; reschedules or cancels appointments when necessary Greets visitors and responds to inquiries Processes daily mail, which includes open, date stamp, sort, and distribute Takes and transcribes minutes at various school meetings, which are chaired by the principal, including Principal's Advisory Council and faculty meetings Processes 9th grade detention Composes, types, proofreads, prints, and processes various types of correspondence, reports, agendas, and communications Duplicates, collates, distributes, and files materials relevant to the school administration Prepares and coordinates the e-mail blast and posts the morning announcements Collects, prepares, disseminates, and/or maintain records of all payroll reports, checks, and files relevant to school administration from other sources within the building Processes and manages purchase orders.
Orders school supplies using current software program Provides administrative support preparing and coordinating the annual commencement and all academic awards programs Coordinates the ordering, distributing, and collecting of monies, etc.
, for the caps and gowns for graduation for both the staff and students Updates supplemental log and maintains mentor sheets for teachers Maintains records of personal days and vacation days for all staff Initiates and/or coordinates other school-related services and programs Works with principal and building leaders on school budget; maintains and reconciles budget accounts Supervises student activities accounts, faculty account, petty cash, office box, etc.

Maintains and reconciles P-Card account and prepares statement for the business office Responsible for counting money collected and making deposits for all building-level fundraising events.
